About Andrew
Andrew Montgomery (Monty)
Principal Consultant & Executive Coach

Andrew is an executive with global experience; a senior partner of a Gippsland-based private equity agroforestry business; a co-owner of a Melbourne-based residential property group; and has coached elite age group basketball. He holds qualifications in engineering and logistics, further developed through executive leadership programs.

Andrew offers a broad skill set having led organisations and teams in OH&S, supply chain management, and operations. He thrives in fast-paced collaborative cultures where he can utilise his communication, coaching and mentoring skills to facilitate change — while his business acumen allows him to work collegiately with executive teams to influence, drive, and deliver results.

He has worked and consulted across the steel, building and construction, manufacturing, mining, food and beverage, health, packaging, recycling, agroforestry and sport industries in Australia, New Zealand, SE Asia, India, China, South Africa, Uganda, Slovenia, Chile, USA and Canada.

Andrew has recently added emotional intelligence testing, analysis, debrief and coaching — given the direct links between EQ and leadership potential; as well as psychological safety and psychosocial risks leader testing, team pulses, analysis, debrief, facilitation and coaching to support recent legislative changes.

Andrew has a passion for everyone to be at their best. To support this, he has established Capable and Resilient Leaders — offering broad-based employment and personal self-assessment and coaching.

On a personal note, Andrew is a father to three highly capable and lovely daughters. He is a 16× Ironman finisher including the 2019 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii — and in July 2023 and August 2024, swam the English Channel.
